"I'm a rising senior chemistry major with a minor in Japanese. I'm heavily involved as a student manager for Campus Life; the events coordinator for UNCW Pride; and the vice president for UNCW Ritmo Latino. As a queer person of color, I find it very important for me to be involved in campus to increase visibility and to offer support to members of the community. I decided to do Queer[ed] Storyscapes because I believe in giving queer people a voice on campus where there has not been before. I want to share my story to let people know that we exist, and that we're more than just faces hidden in the crowd. We're out. We're here. And we're pretty friggin' queer."

Kae is a self-identified queer Theatre student at UNCW. She switched from an English major but is still overly fond of poetry. The best day of her life was summer skinny-dipping in the ocean with friends and coming across bio-luminescent phytoplankton. In her free time, she likes to perfect her rainbow cupcake recipe and continue feeding her Starbucks addiction.

Josh is a filmmaker from Roseboro, North Carolina. A childhood in a rural area resulted in repeated viewings of the few films accessible to him. His interest in filmmaking developed after viewing a "making of" featurette at the end of a VHS tape. Josh decided that if he could make entertaining others through films a job, it was what he would spend his life doing. It was through films that Josh discovered his sexuality during middle school. He made the decision to come out at the age of 17 after the death of an older sibling changed his outlook on life. Since then, he has explored filmmaking heavily and is set to graduate from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in Film Studies in 2018. Post-graduation, he will pursue a career in film directing and screenwriting. He wants to create more inclusive films with a focus on queer horror.

I'm a 21-year-old genderqueer Aries from the deserts of Yuma, Arizona. I'm a big fan of stars, rocks, flowers, and things that don't make a whole lot of sense. Graphic design is definitely my preferred media for art as I like to be pretty versatile in all aspects of my life, aha. If you wanna find me, you can probably find me having a mini adventure out somewhere in nature. But only if it's warm outside, otherwise I'm in bed.
