What is a CoLab?
The CoLab is an alternative take on traditional workshops or professional development, where all stakeholders collaborate, investigate, and learn together in an organic, semi-structured way.
Artists, who are a part of the LGBTQIA community, are invited to facilitate a CoLab. They teach participants about their medium, specifically in ways that encourage critical thinking, dialogue, and action around what it means to be queer in Wilmington. While the artist comes to the CoLab with an overall plan for what to share and teach, they, along with the participants, ultimately decide on the path and outcome for the CoLab.
